This Privacy Policy explains how GLD Construction Services, Inc, doing business as Waste Regulators (“Waste Regulators,” “we,” “us”), collects, uses and protects information when you visit wasteregulators.com (the “Site”), request a quote, place an order or contact us.
Information we collect
Information you give us
When you fill out a quote request, order form or contact form, we collect the information you enter, which may include:
- Your name, company name, job title, email address and phone number
- Service, mailing and billing addresses
- Details about the service you need, such as dumpster size, debris type, number of portable toilets, dates and placement notes
- For new customers, your signature on our Account Agreement (drawn or typed), the name and title of the person signing, and the date and time of signing
- The payment method you plan to use (ACH, credit card or check) and your agreement to that method
- Anything else you choose to include in a message
We never collect card numbers or bank account numbers on this Site. Once your account is set up, you save your payment method in our client portal, which is provided by our billing software partner (see “Who we share information with” below).
Address suggestions and location checks
When you type an address on the Site, the text is sent to Google Maps Platform (Google Places) to suggest matching addresses and look up the county. If Google is unavailable, OpenStreetMap’s Nominatim service is used instead. ZIP codes are checked on your device. If you choose “Use my location,” your browser asks for permission first, and your location is compared to our service-area map on your device. We do not store the results of these checks unless you go on to submit a form.
Information saved on your device
If you check “Remember my contact info on this device” on the order form, your contact and billing contact details are saved in your browser’s local storage so future orders are faster. Your service address, signature and payment details are never saved this way. You can remove the saved information at any time with the “Clear saved info” link on the order form, or by clearing your browser’s site data.
Information collected automatically
Like most websites, our hosting provider automatically receives basic technical information when you visit, such as your IP address, browser type and the pages you request, for security and to keep the Site running. The Site loads fonts from Google Fonts, which receives your IP address when the fonts load. We do not use advertising cookies or sell information to advertisers.
How we use information
- To prepare quotes, schedule and provide dumpster and portable toilet service, and contact you about your order
- To set up and manage your customer account, including the signed Account Agreement
- To send invoices and handle billing and payment questions
- To answer your questions and provide customer support
- To keep the Site secure and working properly
- To meet legal, tax and recordkeeping requirements
Who we share information with
We do not sell or rent your personal information. We share it only as needed to run our business:
- Service providers: our website host and form-processing provider (Netlify), which delivers form submissions to us; our billing and customer portal software (Docket), where your account, invoices and saved payment methods are kept; and email providers we use to communicate with you.
- Address lookups: Google (Google Maps Platform), and OpenStreetMap Nominatim as a backup, only for addresses you type on the Site. Google’s use of this information is covered by the Google Privacy Policy.
- Legal reasons: when required by law, to enforce our agreements, to collect amounts owed, or to protect the rights, property or safety of Waste Regulators, our customers or others.
- Business transfers: if our business is sold or merged, customer information may transfer to the new owner under this policy.
How long we keep information
We keep customer, order and agreement records for as long as your account is active and as long as needed afterward for billing, legal, tax and recordkeeping purposes. Quote requests and messages that don’t become orders are kept only as long as useful for following up.
How we protect information
The Site uses encrypted (HTTPS) connections, and access to customer information is limited to staff who need it. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, so we can’t guarantee absolute security, but we work to protect your information.
Your choices
- You can ask to see, correct or delete the personal information we have about you, subject to records we must keep for billing and legal reasons.
- You can ask us to stop sending you non-essential emails at any time.
- You can clear information saved on your device using the “Clear saved info” link or your browser settings.
Children
The Site is meant for adults arranging waste services. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.
Links to other sites
The Site links to other websites, such as our client portal and Facebook page. Their own privacy policies apply when you use them.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top shows when it last changed.
